ALKALISING SMOOTHIE RECIPIES


Here are some smoothie recipes to get you started but don’t be afraid to start trying your own concoctions and vary your choices if possible-

 

  • 3 CUPS OF SPINACH
  • 1/2 A CUCUMBER (YOU CAN PEEL AND SEED IT IF YOU PREFER BUT I DON’T DO THIS)
  • 1 PEAR CORE REMOVED
  • 1 TABLESPOON OF MACA (OPTIONAL)
  • 1 TEASPOON OF LEMON JUICE
  • 1 CM OF GINGER (OR TO TASTE)

    BLEND TOGETHER AND ENJOY.

One of my staples is –

  • 2 LEAVES OF CURLY KALE (SPINE REMOVED)
  • 2 -3 LEAVES OF CALVO NERO OR BLACK KALE (DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE FROM AS TO WHAT IT IS CALLED)
  • 2 INCHES OF CARROT
  • 1/5 OF A CAPSICUM OR PEPPER (RED, OR YELLOW)
  • A TABLESPOON OF AVOCADO
  • A TEASPOON OF STEVIA
  • AND A TABLESPOON OF LEMON
  • 200-400ML (DEPENDING ON HOW THINK YOU LIKE IT) OF WATER OR COCONUT WATER

This is full of goodness but make take some getting used to. It is an energy boost that is very addictive in the best kind of way though.

  • 1 APPLE
  • 1 PEAR
  • 1 BANANA
  • 1 HEAD OF KALE/SWISS CHARD/ OR SOME TYPE OF DARK GREEN LETTUCE
  • 1 HANDFUL OF CORIANDER
  • 1 TSP OR RAW HONEY/ MAPLE SYRUP/ OR 1 DATE (SOAKED)
  • JUICE OF 1 LIME
  • 500ML OF WATER (DEPENDING ON DESIRED THICKNESS).

Blend all together and enjoy.
